Do I need to be home?

Not necessarily—we’ll coordinate secure pickup/drop-off or entry instructions, after the initial meet & greet.

How do I pay?

We accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and cash. Invoices available upon request.

What is your service area?

We serve the entire Kansas City metro! 🌆

Our home base is in Gladstone, so areas outside the Northland may have slightly higher minimums or small service charges — but we do our best to avoid those whenever possible. These will continue to disappear as we grow — thank you so much for supporting our small business! 💚

Want to lower (or even eliminate) those minimums? Pair up with a neighbor and schedule your services for the same day! 👯‍♀️ Teamwork makes the laundry (and errands) easier.

How soon can you help?

We do our best to accommodate next-day or even same-day requests when needed.

Do you do recurring tasks?

Absolutely! 💚 Weekly, biweekly, monthly — or even every three weeks (because life doesn’t always fit in perfect boxes).

We can customize a schedule that works best for you, so you can stop trying to remember when to order groceries or schedule laundry. Let me take that mental load off your plate — I got you. 🙌🏻

Can you handle pets with special needs?

Yes! 🐾 We’ve cared for pets with a variety of special needs — from medication schedules to mobility challenges — and we’re always happy to learn each animal’s unique routine.

We’ll be completely honest if a request is outside our ability to handle safely, but we’ll do everything we can to make it work or help find someone who can. Your pets’ comfort and safety always come first. 💚

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner, the better! 🗓️

Spots can fill up quickly (especially around weekends and holidays), so reaching out early gives you the best chance at your preferred date and time.

That said — life happens! We do our best to stay flexible for those “oh no, I’m out of clean socks again” moments. 😅 If you need something last-minute, shoot me a text and I’ll see what magic we can make happen.

Do I need to sort or pre-treat my laundry?

It totally depends on your service level and personal preference! 🧺

‘Til You Get By is our no-frills, budget-friendly option — a simple wash, dry, and fold to help you get by. To keep this tier affordable, it doesn’t include extra sorting or sock-flipping. So if you’d like items separated a certain way or socks right-side-out before washing, it’s best to do that before pickup.

Higher tiers like Spoil Me or Lavish include more customization — think stain treatments, fabric-specific care, scent beads, and a little extra pampering for your clothes.

No matter which level you choose, everything’s done with care (and a sprinkle of love). 💚

Can you hang-dry or handle delicate items?

Yes! 💚 We’re happy to accommodate special care instructions for delicate fabrics, hang-dry items, or anything that needs a gentler touch.

To help us take the best care of your clothes, please bag those items separately and mark them clearly so we know they need extra attention. We’ll make sure they get the TLC they deserve. ✨

Who will be handling my stuff?

We personally handle the majority of orders, from laundry and errands to pet-sitting and grocery runs. As Gather & Scatter grows, we’re adding a few trusted team members who share our same standards of care, communication, and respect.

We also offer custom services — things like bringing in your mail while you’re out of town, letting the dog out during your workday, or making sure Grandma’s laundry gets handled with extra care.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?
