Gather & Scatter was born from a deep love of helping people and a lifelong refusal to sit still.

I’m Shelby, and after years of working in the gig world, I realized what people really need isn’t just a task checked off—it’s someone they can trust, someone who remembers the little things, and maybe shows up with your favorite snack on a crap day.

I started this business to bring real human connection back to everyday errands and to give folks a break from the endless to-do list. But it’s not just about helping customers.

I also wanted to create something that helps other people.. especially moms, caregivers, and anyone who needs flexible work, earn a livable wage doing honest, meaningful tasks. No algorithms. No impossible standards. Just real people doing real work and getting paid fairly for it.

Whether it’s laundry, groceries, cat sitting, or some random job you’re not even sure how to describe, I’m here to say yes. And maybe crack a joke while I’m at it.
